INCAVALE Lagottos & Spanish Water Dogs

We have pups from time to time, but good pups don't just 'happen' & good intent by the breeder is just not enough.
Structure & type, character & temperament, health & strength are all important.
We have spent & continue to spend a lot of time & effort studying the best blood lines.
Judith visited Lagotto kennels in Europe during 2015, in 2017,  in 2018 & was to visit Spain this year 2020 for the World Dog Show &  visit  working Lagotto kennels and SWD kennels.
A lot of time has also been spent with overseas breeders, owners, trainers & professional dog handlers of our chosen breeds.
We firmly believe that the working capability of the dogs is just as important as the other attributes mentioned earlier.
Enquiries are always welcome but we do have a process that needs to be followed if you are really interested in a healthy, well balanced, confident & personable Incavale pup.
We make no apology in being extra careful about suitable homes for our pups so it  is suggested that an initial phone call to Judith on 0246843991 or 0418966336, is the way to go.
Our view is that if a potential buyer is seriously interested in a pup, they will make an appointment to visit  us well before pups are available.  The puppy purchase scenario is a 2 way street. You may want a pup but we also have a real interest in the right  "match" for a prospective owner and a pup.  You will be asked to complete an Application form but returning the Puppy Application form is in no way an undertaking by us that a puppy will be available for you.
Text & email messages that do not provide any information about yourself, why you are interested in the breed etc., are usually ignored as are demands for a pup of a particular colour.
Whilst our pups might go to enthusiasts interested in a range of dog sports such as obedience, agility, fly ball, dock diving etc.,  some of our pups are trained to be therapy dogs, tracking dogs, truffle hunters, service dogs & retrieving dogs, but our pups also go to  approved 'pet ' homes.
Pups leave us at 8 weeks of age healthy & confident, ANKC registered, vaccinated, health tested & micro-chipped with all paperwork. The next 8 weeks of life is a critical period for the pup & you. Don't waste it.
Notwithstanding the kind of home they go to, Lagottos need ongoing training & owners need to know how to train their dogs or utilise the services of a 'balanced' professional dog trainer. We can assist you in this regard & It will be money well spent.
They are certainly cute & fluffy when small & young, but they grow fast, needing consistent  guidance & a lot of mental stimulation that will be demanding of your time. They are smart & energetic; dig holes, like water and need regular grooming.
They do in fact require  a lot of attention. Not what we would call a 'low maintenance' dog. Indeed no dog is low maintenance.
We are advocates of 'çrate' training & Lagottos like most if not all dogs will thrive best as an integral part of the family unit.
NOTE WELL, early desexing is not recommended for the long term health of the dog, be it a male or female..... John
