You have picked up your pup & as a responsible owner you take the pup to your local vet for a physical.
Early in the examination the vet asks "When are you desexing the puppy?".
An appropriate response to this question is "Why?".
There are many reasons why you should not put a puppy through the spaying or castration procedures and here are some reasons why, based on observation, discussions with many veterinary professionals, dog breeders, dog trainers, animal behaviourists, a lot of ongoing research & plain common sense.
Many pups put though these procedures grow into mature animals that physically look different to an entire dog or bitch of the same age & even the same litter. The conformation of these dogs is just not correct.
These 2 surgical procedures change the mental & emotional makeup of a dog, but they don't stop a male lifting his leg at every fence post he walks by, if he or she is a "barker", the dog will continue to bark, if the animal has some aggression issues, those issues will not change, if the dog is a nightmare on a walking lead, things are not going to change.
